Stiff Suspension

What i did recently is replaced mine with new Boge shocks (what they came out the factory with) and that changed it totally. the old shocks were worn and crap. The new ones were nice and stiff in the corners but allowed the truck to move over bumps rather than stay ridged like yours seems to be. Cheap as well when you compare them to "uprated" ones...

Hope that helps you.

I have 20" wheels on at the moment and are going to change them for 18" as the 20" just touch the front mud flaps when reversing. I shall get a set of shocks and see how it goes. Thanks a lot for your help.

The 20" wheels were on when I bought the car. I new they would be more bumpy that's why I want to change them. I was thinking of 18", what do you think. Should I just get 16" wheels.

16" give a better ride but there is a slight loss of precision in the steering. 18" slightly harsher ride but more precise steering. Depends on your preference.

If you look around on the Bay of E then you can often pick up a whole set of wheels with decent tyres for £100.

I have 19" wheels on mine it does feel bumps but is not terrible. 16" and 18" were fitted as standard. Anything above that you have to expect a slightly harsher ride.

Hi, Anyone tell me the best shocks etc set up for a nice smooth ride. At the moment it is as bumpy as hell.
Check the ride heights, if it's riding too high it will feel harsh. Try locking it at motorway height and see if it feels better. 18" Hurricanes with Nexen Rodian M+S gives a smooth ride, good directional stability and they are very quiet.
