Hi,does anyone know why I can't get a single gear when the engine is running but get all no problem when's it's switched off ,Freelander 1 06...
Thanks ,
Steve

I had it suggested it probably needs the clutch bleeding ,it's recently had the inner slave cylinder done a few months ago and clutch pedal seems normal ,it's really odd how the gears work only when the engines off

Sounds like the master either needs bled, is faulty or is a cheap Aftermarket.
All the above will give your fault.

Not odd at all, it's completely normal.
If the engine is off, the gears are statutory, so the clutch isn't needed to allow the gears to shift. However if the engine is running and the clutch isn't disconnecting the engine from the box, the gears are still rotating, so they can't mesh together.
