hello all:D
been ages since ive been on - been meaning to but theres always somthing that gets in the way + was interwebless for a while
anywho.......

for a change it aint my motor thats having a bad time (not that its been trouble free while ive been off:crutch: ) the farther in-laws 97 disco has got trouble with the front drivers window,
opened ok but only goes half way back up-bangs and stops. not the usual groan like when theres grime in the runner. with the door card off you can see the runner come up a bit then it seems to catch and twists pushing the inner door skin out. cant see anything that looks broke and theres no bits thats dropped off laying in the bottom. had to abandon the job tonight before the stormy weather took the door off! but if anyone knows what the problem is or any ideas it would be a big help before i try again tomorrow.

My Tdi 200 93 passenger window did the same thing jamming about half way down, holding glass either side and applying upward pressure while someone else pressed the button got the window closed. After removing the inner door panel I found that the window bracket was bent at one end and catching on the way up, straightening the bent bracket solved the problem. I went round each of the doors and lubricated all the motors.
