Sticker Problems with Matt paint

Ive just re painted my discovery with a matt finish paint, done with a roller. I want to put some decals/stickers on the doors but i doubt that they will stick to the rough surface
has anyone put decals on a hand painted surface or is there something i can do to get them to stick properly?

Like you say it should be a flat clean surface. However what yer can do is decide where you want to place your stickers, draw round them with a pencil. Rub that area down, apply the stickers and then go round the edges with edge sealer from 3M. Jobs a good en.
PS. if you leave the stickers in the sun for a hour they will become soft and easier to apply
