Stereo not working

Hi I am a new member. I have a r770 cassette player was working fine up until Tuesday, now when I switch it on it beeps then turns off, do I have to have it plugged in to clock display as that is not working due LCD damaged!! Please any ideas

I don't know that particular radio unit, but judging by what I've been able to find, the "clock" unit is integral to the radio. So I would say yes it has to be connected.

You'd be best asking in the Freelander section of the forum.
