Stereo Issue?

Hi all

Got a problem with my 2001 Autobiography stereo. Just got hold of another headunit AMR6285 & all works fine but for some reason:-

1. It doesnt go very loud?
2. When i change from front to rear speakers there's no sound? Yet when its on 0 front/rear all speakers seem to be working including the built in sub

Any ideas?

Greetings fellow member I may be able to answer said questions... Ok has your car got the in built sat nav ?? If so try unplugging it from rear of car and then try the radio it will more than likely be fine .. My sat nav buggered so the radio sound stays on phone call/nav mode ... And new nav units £300 plus ouch ...And I think if memory correct if you swap your head unit you need to max the volume first or you get well naff sound .. Well hope it helps ..I iam wrong no doubt some one will say cheers good luck

Does the sat nav work? Try disconnecting the sat nav (two big connectors at the back of the unit in the boot) then see if your stereo is working. A faulty nav will affect the stereo.

+1, sounds like the sat nav is kaput.
