Hi Folks (again sorry)
Maybe, maybe...?? removing the steering wheel will get at my faulty rotary connector, horn etc.
Is this an easy/safe job with that airbag in the middle??
I must be honest, I'm concerned about the electrics problems on the P38's, mainly resetting things, No knowledge, No experience new to the P38 (love it) but wanting to know if there is anyone near us that can/will help if I brought the motor to them, with some pennies in the kitty of course.
Is there anyone fairly local to me?? Stafford / Newport Shrops area???

Thanks,
Duke of Offley (Titch)

Firstly, you'll need to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. ALWAYS a must when working with anything electrical. the only thing you should have to worry about when connecting it back up again is resetting your keyfob to synch with the car.

Thanks Hammy for replying,
kinda stuck & nervous here... The key code then, that's the 4 left, 3 right, 3 left..... or whatever etc?
Shall I wait for the airbag to 'de activate' etc.
I guess my problem must be to do with a rotary connection, why I don't know as that end wasn't touched doing the steering box??
I have a red SRS logo displaying on the dash too, I guess there's some form of electrical disconnection with this 'coupler'
Thanks again,
Duke of Offley
