Hey guys I am having trouble to take off the steering wheel off the 200tdi I have taken the nut off and it won't budge I tried an hub puller no avail any advice??

With a mate pulling hard(ish) on the wheel rim, and with the nut on a couple of threads, sharply strike the steering shaft nut with a mallet (make sure you hit it nice and square on !!

Be careful tho, if you belt 7 bells outta it, you'll risk doing some damage to bits further down the shaft itself.

If it don't give after a couple of hits . . . umm . . . dunno, see what any other peeps ideas are !!

right, squirt penetrating fluid down the shaft!
leave the nut on but loose say half way down the shaft, it will go, mice was a **** to do but listen to this yer gonna love this.........
i hit mine without the nut on, fooked the threads up, went through the trouble of rescuing the threads so the but would go back on then found out my column had slid down about an inch maybe inch and a half, now if this happens lossen the bolt at the top of the column and it should come back out for you, its a tube in a tube thats pinched at the end, once it has squeesed itself in its a nightmare to get back out.
if all else fails i have a steering column fer sale! haha just so yer know what could go wrong for you as it did for me.

brillant guys thanks! so that is what kind of tool I need then so screw the two bolts right down the threads then turn the main bolt anto clock wise to pull it off brillant okay thanks reason for this is so I can replace the heater matrix!! dash is loose and ready to come off but can't cos of the steering wheel in the way! hehe
