Hi

Thanks,

I im currently using an alipine unit, but the 113BT slightly newer i think but pretty much the same unit.

just make sure it supports remote control. it should have a small 2.5mm jack on the back labeled up as "REM"

i have searched it up and it is compatible

You just need to buy an adapter and it takes 2 seconds to plug in.

This is the one i bought:

ALPINE Land rover Freelander Stalk Steering Adaptor on eBay (end time 29-May-11 18:48:25 BST)

it just plugs straight in.

hope this is of some help :D

Thanks Mr H although my FL is the pre-facelift model. The other issue is I dont have a wheel with the remote controls although hopefully ebay will solve this one!

oh right, didnt realise that.

what do you mean then abour remote steering, how do you intend of doing it without the steering controls fitted ?

otherwise its easy to get that stereo to work, if its pre-face lift then the plugs in the back of your existing land rover stereo will just plug straight into the new alpine unit.

as i used to have my alpine unit in my old XDI freelander that was pre-facelift but obvisously had no steering controls but it worked fine otherwise. :D
