Steering trouble

Hi I have an old 90 that I let my brother in law have a go in down a green lane last year but he went into a hedge and bent the track rod I have replaced the the track rod and ends the land rover drives fine until I hit a bump and the steering wheel wobbles like mad until I slow to about 10 mph, does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? Thanks
