I bought a new replacement steering relay and needed a retaining ring solution due to the replacement being smaller than original. Available items proved to be silly prices. I did a rubbing of the bottom hole positions on the new chassis and produced a drawing for laser cutting, the new relay was taken along so the relay hole could be accurately produced. I have now fitted the relay and it's mounting ring and found I did have to file out a couple of the holes in order to give clearance for the 1/4 unf screws. Other than that a good solution to the original problem. I have a bag full of these rings which I will sell or swap. They are mild steel 6 mm thick. If you are interested txt message to 07897591721
