Does anyone know the standard pressure that the 300TDi steering pump produce
I've been toying with the idea of a hydraulic winch and managed to get my hands on a ZF steering pump, one thats recommended for powering a milemarker or similar winch.
I reckon this ZF pump could replace the standard disco one with a small modification on the low pressure inlet and negate the need to mount it seperatley on a seperate hydraulic circuit and belts etc... but if it kicks out more pressure would it damage the steering box..?
I know you can run a milemarker on a standard disco pump setup, i also see that they recommend using the ZF pump setup mounted seperatley as it gives better performance with it's higher pressure.
I wanna combine the both if I could...
Any hydraulic experts in the house/anyone got a milemarker or hydraulic setup???
