L322 Range Rover 4x4 4.4 ltr auto 6 speed Vogue
First post, i have a L322 2003 model, the other day i was re-newing the O-rings in the center valve block for the air suspension, managed to do that ok I put the scanner the RR and cleared all soft codes... all ok.
Next day went for a drive to town and the steering wheel was on a funny angle, Huh why is it doing this I didn't touch the steering wheel.
So I manually adjusted the steering wheel but it only goes in and out not up and down as in up towards the roof and down towards the floor this part not working...has anyone any idea's why?

Yes it does, its a Vogue.
Does this mean something?

Just different ECU to non memory. Never had the issue but both motors share the same fuse so either the motor or the BCU. Could try disconneting the battery for a few minutes (following the correct procedure) and see if that helps. You said you cleared all the codes but was that for all ECUs?

From the manual

The steering column features fully electrical adjustment for tilt and reach. On vehicles fitted with memory seats, the
steering wheel position control is incorporated into the memory seat ECU.

thank you for the info.
i disconnected the earth strap the day before the tilt on the steering went wonky.

also I put All Comms on yesterday and it says it couldn't communicate with ecu so i presumed i have a serious problem.
If i disconnect the the plugs from under the drivers seat will that do the same as battery disconnect?

i won't do that i will give the battery disconnect for a few minutes if that doesn't solve the tilt problem what would i look at next?

I guess you will have to start checking voltages to the motor when you operate the switch, if you can find the right pins at the ECU end that would be the easiest.
I'll have a look at the manual tomorrow if I get time and see if it says which they are. It's 11:38pm here now.

Up-date; ive pulled the Becm and checked the pins...everything looks good.

The electric seat controls (RHD) are dicky:eek: so i have purchased a good S/H one from the parts yard, bit of luck this will fix the tilt problem too.
Thanks so far BackinBlack, i know its a little hard getting things fixed especially when I'm on the other side of the world to you guys.....besides you fella's are asleep. :D:D
