Just removed my steering colmn outer tube from my series 3 88 due to new top bearing to be fitted (Oh that was fun getting the old bugger out!!!!!) Anyway, my problem is after I had taken the tube off, the locator pin at the steering box end has droped off onto my gravel driveway and after long periods of searching Ive not found it......
Anyone know where I might get a replacement, or is it something I could make up myself? (Not sure how accurate it needs to be?)
Finally, where the steering column goes through the bulkhead and through the support bracket theres a load of chewed up rubber??? Is there a seal for this? lrseries seem to have one for Military landys (odd shape looking seal) They also have just anti rattle rubber sheet???? Any help would be grateful please. Have a great landy weekend all! :)

348747 is the part number for the seal - it's just a rubber strip formed into a bush -see the parts book. Not sure about the steering column, there's a clamp bolt but I don't remember a locating pin - presumably it sets the position of the ignition barrel?
