Steering Box pipe seals

Dear all, after changing the steering box (p38 diesel) where the pipes join the box at the top it leaks, there are two seals per pipe but Land Rover only stock the seals for the larger pipe, not the smaller one. Does anybody know of somewhere that might sell them and would copper washers be sufficient? The proper seals are metal with rubber inserts, cheers.

Hi,try a hydraulics or plant hire outfit, that type of seal is common in the hydraulics industry.

Any idea on the sizes?
Has a slight leak from the joint. Need to get the washers before dismantling.

Two 14 mm Dowty washers and two 16 mm Dowty washers

Sorry to jump in late on a thread, wondering how you got on with the Dowty washers, I've got the same issue and looking to do the same seals.
