Just remember it's bloody heavy so move anything delicate from arround it before you take it out.
Seen a couple of good "how too" guides online, so yeah, seen that they are on the heavy side! Swapping the box over doesn't look too bad a job. Although the ACE ram does seem to cover a couple of the bolts that hold the box onto the chassis, so may be fun getting at those!

Yup I still remember my day with a drop arm like it was yesterday but it wasn't it was 24 years ago.
I wouldn't even look at it now if my disco steering box was leaking I'd get a garage to sort.

It must be just the way it is with leaking steering boxes my RR was 5 years old and leaked, my disco will be 19 years in September and still no leaks.

It's definitely put me off trying to faff about with it again! I'm not sure if I got the box off I'd be able to remove it. I managed to make room to get a pretty big hammer in there, with pullers tensioned very high and it didn't want to budge.

Still, you wouldn't want it to come loose when you were driving, so it's a good thing they're a snug fit!
