Steering and dif guards

Right i've done a bit of a search on ebay for a pair of diff guards and a steering guard for my Disco 1 and the choice is massive.
I have tried to search on here for more info on which ones to look for but to no avail.

Does anyone have any recomendations on what ones to go for? Seems you can spend masses of money on parts that look the same as ones that are a quarter of the price.
What have people on here gone with, I know you get what you pay for in a lot of instances but also some cheap items are still good, as an example theres a steering guard on ebay selling at over £210. I'm sorry but thats a complete waste of money imo.

Any advice greatly appricated.

take a look in the off road section theres a discussion going on in there at the mo.

some like the HD bars, some like steering guards and others axle guards.

its down to personal preference really and what you plan on doing in your disco

Already fitted HD steering bars and very ahppy with them, however dent my diff last night. No internal damage but deffo need to protect them and tbh i'm gonna break something so the more protection the better really.

If you already have hd steering bars then wouldnt a steering guard just be overkill and not sure how much protection it would give to your diffs?

heres a link taken from the other thread for an axle guard with built in diff guard Southdown 4 x 4 Front Axle Guards about £100-120 i think

like I said all down to what you feel you need

Yep after ready that thread i'm not going to get a full guard, just stick with my steering bars and just ordered a pair of diff guards off paddocks.
Cheers for that link fella much cheaper than ebay. Gonna have a little look on there site, see what other shiny things they have lol.

Sure i can find something, need to change the odd little oil breather that sits on the side of the 300tdi engine.
