I read a thread about snapping wheel studs from fitting wrong steels
Q how do you tell if the ones you have will fit?
my freelander 03 plate has a steel spare that to all intents and purpose looks the same as the ones took off a 98 plate both have a 60mm ctr .
the alloys however seem to have a lip on the inside that fits into the recess on the rear brake drum is this a locating device?
if so why do they give you a steel that wont work?
