Hi

The answer may well be 'why do you want to', in which case doing nothing works just fine for me, but.......

While I've got all the wheels off and am respraying them - was wondering whether anyone has done anything to the inside face?

Mine are fairly rusty inside. I don't fancy spraying them, but wondered if there was any benefit in wire brushing them down to remove the loose stuff and then maybe wiping over with a rag soaked in waxoyl.

Any thoughts guys?

Whilst you've got em off it would be a good idea to clean em up and treat em.

Have heard of compacted mud making the wheel not seat properly, but not actually come across a case, but worth bearing in mind changing a wheel whilst off roading I guess.

Which reminds me, I must take the time to see if mine need doing again, Thanks :D

I had mine off at the weekend - was going to clean the insides, but luckily my hub seals are leaking so badly that the wheels have a nice coat of oil inside and out so they ain't going to rust in a hurry!

BD - many thanks. Waxoyol and old rags on standby! Don't want to put on too thick as nervous it might 'splatter' onto the discs

Ian - how bizarre that the wheel hubs are one of the few places that mine doesn't leak from. Would have saved the work:D

Finishing the first 3 wheels and complete rear brake overhaul is on the 'to do' list for this weekend. My lady is away so I can lock myself in the garage all weekend. Me, radio and a case of Stella:D:D:D
