Hi guys, wondering what are the main differences between steel wheels and alloy wheels (other than they are made from different materials and steels can be "fixed" on overland trips):eek:
 
Alloys are lighter and generally a bit stronger in absolute terms.

That is the usual point of contention, as once the alloy is bent, it generally cannot be trail-repaired, whereas the steel wheel will yield to the lump hammer and soldier on.
