Steel rims

Can you fit 235/85/16 tyres to Landrover steel rims am running 7.50/16 xzl at the mo without any issues I've searched but still not overly confident . Thanks

I think the problem you will come across is are your 7.50 Land Rover wheels able to take tubeless tires as most tires these days are tubeless.
I ran on old LR wheels with inner tubes and had several punctures. Since changing to tubeless I haven't had any.
On a recent trip across the Sahara in a convoy of five vehicles only one ran with inner tubes. and they had three punctures. None of the others had any. Oh just remembered I had one blow out on the motorway on the way back. The tire was dead anyway.
If you do change your steels be careful what you replace them with. I bought a brand new set and and one has buckled and I suspect one other might be dubious.
I am interested to see the other comments that come in.

My wheels are stamped 5 1/2J x 16. If that helps any.?

Would have said 5 1/2 inch rims are a bit narrow for 235's. Think the recommended is a 7 inch for 235's
