Hi folks,

I'll be doing some door repairing soon but the upper door is a bit  rotten

It's obviously the second door on a 110 CSW but I'd guess its the same profile as a normal 110 front door. Can you get a repair panel for that bit?

Cheers,
Paddy

Not seen one

Should be OK removing door card, cleaning back to good metal (wire wheel) and bonding in ali mesh from inside and then filling smooth

I'm not saying filling it won't work as I did not do mine and it may have been a crap job.
But with opening and closing it rattles the filler loose, especially there by the latch!!
I've got mine to do which look worse than yours. I did want to get a new door but the price is just soooooooooo much!!!
So it looks like I'll have to repair!!!

Did mine with fibreglass mesh (p40) to secure the mesh rather than filler filler

Has stood up to 3 years of door slamming so far

Agree Plastic Padding or similar would likely crack out quite quickly

I think I'll aim to weld it. I'm okay at fabbing/folding sheet and I've asked my work to price up a sheet of 18 gauge steel for me. The doors coming off anyway to get the bottom frame sorted.

Cheers guys

Thats exactly what I'm gonna do with mine - weld it.
Get some pictures if you can, I'm sure we would all like to see.

what is your time worth? just get used ones of ebay cheap enough they are

My time is free to me and as they say a fool and his money are soon parted and I'm always bloody skint at the moment (which must mean I'm a total fool ) repairing seems to be the way forward and I won't need to repaint it, plus there's something better about having something you've repaired yourself as opposed to just bolting an new one on.

I was watching one on ebay its up at £48 with 2.5 days to go
