starting problems

Im having terrible problems with starting my TD4 this only occurs about 1-2 hours after a run its great from really hot or from stone cold, its happened a 7 times in the last 2 weeks after trying for 10 minutes or so i have given up but give it another 5/10 minutes try it again and hey presto it fires up 1st time with no other symptoms after can somebody please help its driving me mad

do you have any more info like mileage and year?

Is there any diesel smell at all? Ive heard about air leaks giving this type of problem.

Common faults for bad starting on Td4's are low side fuel pressure too low or injector leakoff

its a 2001 model with 59,000 on the clock, i cannot smell any fuel at all its a real baffler

mark . . .check ya fuel filter has bin changed , but failin that, cam sensor can give the same symptons failing that then it could be the cam sensor [intermitant] or your rear pump could be failing,,,, un best oh luck. . .
