Okay guys (and minty)

I fixed the alarm issue and she started on the button, drove home (12 miles) and parked on my driveway on a slight incline.

Went to start it this morning and nothing, not starter motor clicks, just clicks from behind the dash which turns out to be one of the relays in the footwell.

I have checked the earths and used jump leads to help the earths out to the engine and starter and still nothing.

Battery was then fully charged but without a meter to hand I wasn't able to check any voltage drop when turning the key.

I ran a jump lead from the positive terminal to the main power connection on the starter and nothing happened.

Would I be right in thinking the starter is ****ed or is there a common issue regarding relays or the electrical system which would stop the starter from turning.

The only things that changed since driving home was installing my own headunit (which is now removed again).

When turning the key the glow plug light and the usual dash lights are lighting, all electrics are working in the car but when you turn to position 3 to start everything dies and I get a click from the relay.

Thanks in advance.

Pete
