starter motor

hi im new to landrovers and my starter motor has gone,it starts now and then is this a job i could do myself or should i let a garage do it.ive had a couple of prices one of £250 for just the starter moter and one of£80 if any one can help that would be great

it mite help if

a) we knew which landrover it was.
b) yu put the q in that section.

It should be a reasonably easy job, just a couple of bolts hold the starter on. Access to do the job will be the hardest bit.

thanks mate
thought i might try undoing the electric conections and clean them up and it seems to have done the trick ,lucky me. not sure how i was going to get to the bolts lots of cut fingers i think.
