First off I am no mechanic, used to be able to fix my motorbikes when I was lad, theh were basic in those days, but four wheels fixing I never really got in to.
I have a 99 plate 4.6HSE thor which through reading previous posts on here I think has a goosed starter motor/solenoid.
I have read that giving the sm a tap with a spanner/hammer may get it going, I only need a short term fix and getting it going just the once would suffice until I can get it properly fixed, so willing to give it a go.
My question is where is the sm? I can't tell from any of the vids I have watched? Do I get to it under the car from the driver side?
Any pointers much appreciated.
