Freelander 1 Starter Motor Removal, help please!!

Hi Guys, been a long time since I posted but I'm still trudging away with the Hippo & kept her going largely thanks to the advice & threads on here.
However, now I'm stumped!
I have the clicking noise when starting so I decided to do the solenoid repair. I am stumped by how I'm going to get off the lower bolt, I just can't get access to it, what am I missing? I've attached pictures.

Incidentally, my starter is at the front of the engine, behind the radiator, not sure why, it a 05 TD4

Stop you are trying to remove the wrong bolt, it is easier if you have removed the manifold off the car when removing the starter motor.

The starter can be removed with out the manifold removal look at the photos below. disconnect the battery.

I copped late last night that I was at the wrong bolts, but I could not find the top bolt until I took off the manifold which I wouldn't have figured out without your help & pictures.
I've attached a picture of the worn contact just to show how far gone it was & I am bouncing around as it started first time.

What mileage as your Fl done most contacts and plunger need doing around the 87,000 -100,00 but it all depends on if the car as been used for short journeys or not in its life time as then you have more start up etc.

It had 145km/90m when I bought it in 2012 & it's now up to 318km/197m.
Don't know if it was done by previous owners but I doubt it as there was no mods done to it when I got it that I could see except for general servicing, could be wrong.
It's my daily runner, start on average 4 times a day, use it for work occasionally.
