Hi again guys,

Finally got the rear bolt out! number of extension bars and a 6 sided socket did the trick :):):)

Now my next question how easy is it to strip down, inspect, clean and repair?

IIRC three long bolts run the length of the motor, undo these and it all comes apart.

The sprung loaded brushes can be tricky to reposition when assembling.

Before taking apart, feed the motor 12v directly and check that it spins. If so then I'd say change solenoid and 'suck it and see' :) Cheaper than replacing the whole motor :D

Tested the motor and it spins but sounded terrible.
Stripped it down to find that 2 of the brushes where down to the wires!

Any one know where I can get a brush replacement kit from?

decided to purchase a new one.... fitted and starts first turn.... If i can get some brushes at the right price i will be re furbing the old one and either selling it or keepin as a spare
