as far as we can gather there is goin to be a switch somwhere that changes it from petrol @2k revs over onto gas,
is there someway of by passin the switch to get it to start on gas? if so where and how?

What sort of action does your normal changeover switch have?

I have come across a couple of different sorts.

Currently have a three position rocker switch, centre for auto change, leftfor petrol full time, right (momentary action) to pre select gas before starting.

Previously, A single push button, Both LEDs illuminated means auto. Single momentary push to toggle between petrol and auto, push and hold to pre select.

Before that, a two position rocker switch, Right for auto, left for petrol. Switch from petrol back to auto to pre-select.

Hopefully one of those will work for you.

not sure what you mean by the rocker switch mate, am thinking you talking about the switch in the cab??? in which case its single button to switch from one to another, think both lights are illuminated then when it revs it just lights up gas on runs on that aftert he first rev of the throttle, or that how it should work if it would fire up.

Sounds like the middle option.

Try pressing and holding the button, prior to starting, to see if the petrol LED goes out, and the gas one comes on.

Alterntively press and keep held, whilst you start the car.

one of these should do the trick.

I have a OVML Dream system on our RR P38. Th eswitch is a single push microswitch version. The switch does not respond at all with light pressure. If I hold it down very very firmly then I get the red petrol only light come on solid. Holding it down again very very firmly I get red petrol light on solid and orange gas light on flashing (plus the green leds). Hold it down again and it goes back to petrol only red light. I have only managed to get the gas orange led to light solid once since buying the motor a week ago. I am assuming I have an LPG problem here....any thoughts?

just got it to switch to gas before start up but battery was flat after turning over trying to solve the fuel probs so gonna try it on a gas start up in the morn
