Standard roof rails to G4/ES ONES

Hiya

Has anyone changed over to the thick tubular ones from standard? Is it staight forwards? Roof lining to one side?

Did this on mine a while ago, pretty straightforward really. The front 2/3 of the roof lining has to come down which means the roof console, sunvisors, seat belt trims, door seals (top of) and stuff has to be removed or dropped by some distance.
The original bars are held on by locknuts and they go back on with the new bars (-10mm socket if I remember correctly....).

I took the opprtunity to neatly route some of my existing wiring whilst doing this - cb radio aerial cable, DAB aerial cable etc. all went up behind the dropped headlining,
