Stalls on cold start, fine when warm?

Hi folks,

every morning when I first turn the key, the engine will turn over a few times but no start. I'll do this maybe 3 or 4 times with the 3rd time it catches and splutters and cuts out then the 4th time it starts fine.

For the rest of the day the car starts first turn of the key like a champ. It almost feels like the same as when I primed the fuel after replacing my fuel tank.

Anyone got any ideas?

Strange way to introduce your self

Have you checked glow plugs, lift pump, air leaks etc.

Apologies, I'm at work just now so ducking and diving on the net. I'll introduce myself on a more grander scale when I get home, in the proper section of course.

I'll put those thing's on the list to check. Although I'll have to read up on how one checks them, as I'm not the best with engine mechanics.
