What year is the car? If it has side airbags, look at the connectors under the seats. Low battery voltage can also cause it and a number of other things.

its a 1999 model with the late type engine
im totally confused as i just put the key in and the fault showed

Your model year should have seat side airbags....

As Datatek said, there is a yellow harness under the seat, these are common to cause issues....

Disconnect the battery (Make sure you have the EKA - although in all my years owning Range Rovers...never needed it when disconnecting batteries on my P38's...but yer never know) wait 20 minutes for the SRS system to fully discharge, then check the connections are secure...

Some SRS faults will self clear, others will need to be cleared with diagnostics...but check these cables first!

k will give this a try
im taking my bike towork this week so it will have to wait to the weekend
