Squeeky Disco 1, 3 door front seats.

I have a 3 door disco 1 300tdi. The drivers seat is somewhat squeeky & doesn't seem very robust, the back is a bit bouncy. It gradually tilts backward & needs adjusting regularly.

Does anyone else suffer in the same way?

Have you fixed or replaced it? Is it just mine, or are all 3 door front seats like that?

Check all the nuts and bolts underneath. Mine all came loose and the whole thing fell to bits.

Mine did the same thing just before the mot. so it failed. i couldn't find any bolts to tighten but found a replacement for £25 and put that in. it was one out of a 5 door but it fits in alright but won't go forward. but i see that as a bonus as now i don't have to get out to let people out

i can see this is an old post, but my 93 200tdi 3 door just failed, drivers seat fallen apart. so my idear was just to swap the whole thing, from a scraped disco.. seen a couple with decent seats but, both 5 door..so could i have put 1 of them in and passed mot.. thourght i would have to have it recline for ticket..??

5 door ones recline , but the back dont tilt forward much past vertical , so backseat passenger wont be able to squeeze between door pillar and seatback..... less some skinny beggar knows different

If it is the seat that has broken and the tilt mechanism is okay you can fit a 5 door seat to he 3 door tilt mechanism
