Hello,

An easy wee question for ya. Will 109 rear leaf springs with a diesel 88? Oh yeah, has anybody got 4 cheap standard steel wheels with 7.50 x 16's for sale :)

i've got 50+ 20 spline drive flanges if anyone wants a set ?

even if it's just to hang on yer wall above the fire

I dont think they will be suitable, not sure on the length the strength will be different for a 88 and a 109.

Thanks Iannotts! I thought that might be the case. There are secondhand leaf springs on Fbay that I thought might be a good cheap option. Funny, I was just about to buy a rear set of leafs from paddocks until the recent drama here! I'll hang out for another set somewhere else...

the springs are the same length, and as the 109 has a payload limit of 3/4 ton and the 88 has a limit of 1/2ton then the 88 fitted with 109 springs will probably be a bit firmer. shouldn't really be a problem so if it wur me i'd just bung em on.

I reckon I'll do that! I often have the back full of wood anyway and hate a soft ride:D
 
They'll fit. I acquired a pair of 1 ton springs about 15 years ago, been used briefly on a very overloaded vehicle, and they worked fine.
