Spot Lights

This switch has been put on by some previous owner, not got a clue what its for but did find two wires behind the front grill so maybe for lights.

Anyway got a brand new roof light bar off a mate so might have a go at some spot lights.
Had these lights in the shed for a couple of years now, dont know if they even work. is there any way of testing them before I fit them?

Could I just redirect the wires up to the roof then to the lights?? also do I join the 4 lights to one continuious wire?

Never been any good at electrics

What's not to work. it's a bulb with an earth & a live wire..

If you have to ask the ABOVE questions. Then you shouldn't wire anything up. Leave it to someone who knows what they're doing.

Don't forget, you can't legally have the spots turned on solely by a switch, they must come on and off with main beam >>>IF<<< you're using the lights on the road.

Try the two wires to two lamps first, see what happens. If that works then you can add the others if you need to, you may need to uprate a fuse and possibly and wiring though.

The two wires behind the front grill are presumibly 1 live and 1 earth, what I meant was is it possible to run 1 live through all 4 spots and 1 earth then plug them together to the switch.
There is some kind of inline fuse added behind the fuse box not sure if this is conected to the switch, or maybe there is a relay added somwhere.
They are not for road use, will be used when I am up at my yard at night feeding the dogs/ horse ect.

The switch needs to run from the high beam switch and run to a relay that powers the spots direct from the battery.

If you don't understand any of that please get someone else to do it. I doesn't take long but needs to be done right

The two wires behind the grille are probably both positive, 1 to each spot. They will have been earthed through the mounting brackets.

You're guessing, guessing can get you in trouble. Test the wires with a multi-meter or a test lamp.

OK Had a bit more look around. Defender Pilot was right the 2 wires in grill are both live, they are also wired straight to main beam.
Now for the switch. Traced wires up into the drivers side headlining phot1 They are long enough to reach the back so not sure if someones had a light on the back door.
Thes wires lead directly to the switch.

There seems to be some kind of relays behind the fuse box not sure if they shoulkd be there or are part of the switch??
