Spot lights !!!!!!!

Hi all, I know there are loads of pages giving advise on this subject but having read them I'm still struggling with mine, I've got two relays wired up in my engine bay and off the relays Ive took 4 wires up to my spotlights so one positive for each 55w light .. Then I've got the four lights earth daisy chained to come down to my battery's negative, they don't work could anyone give me some pointers sorry if this has been mentioned but its doing me head in now lol
