Maybe not an issue for UK climate but if you'll ever go in other coutries where it's common to be above 30*C summer time you should remove those spots and that(IMO ugly) A bar from the front of the grill cos they restrict at least 1/3 of the air flow through the radiator/intercooler and condenser(if it has A/C) and believe me that it can make a big difference that's verified with live readings at around 33*C outside temp on a friend's car with and without such spots and bar cos he complained to me that the engine runs too hot without any obvious reason(at around 110*C cos the electric fan remained on after the engiine was stopped) then the ECT*** went down to 92 max 95 just by getting rid of that "restriction" also the IAT decreased with about 5*C which improved the throttle response even more... you should know that the higher the ECT(which implies the FT too) and IAT are the lower the engine's power becomes as the management reduces the amount of injected fuel to protect the engine

*** ECT = engine coolant temp, FT = fuel temp, IAT = inlet air temp
