Spot light entry

hi all.
Hope everyone is well, and keeping busy.

I’ve got some lights I want to fit to my roof rack.

I was just curious on how people have got the wiring into their vehicles. I don’t want to be drilling holes all over the place, and also want to keep it as tidy as possible.

I have a s2a with a van back.

My series is is a soft top so I do not have any fitted to that but the 110 has a set of roof lights. The front ones i run the cabling down behind the snorkel with the breather pipe and it then goes into the engine bay at the bonnet corner by the bulkhead (plenty of clearance when bonnet closed) The rear light I have carefully drilled holes fitted grommets and then sealed and have no leaks form them but they are on the vertical flat section, not sure I would trust it on the horizontal portion of the roof needed for the front set.

I made my own flush bulkhead connector for my removable solar panel becuse I couldn't find anything unobtrusive. Now I've cracked it I may make another for front roof lights. I have a loom of cables running up the screen centre for things like the overhead radio, reversing light and interior lights. You could go up under one of the roof capping strips then out the side.

Am I now going to have to buy a snorkel to hide my cabling hahaha.
I think going through the rear vertical section is the way to go. It’s just a pain having to run the cables from front, to back, to front.

I am just being anal, and want everything to look as tidy as possible.

I was looking for some kind of water proof plug also, but they are all rather large and an eye sore aren’t they.

I copied this

but mine doesn't look fancy like that, its filed out of a bit of scrap ally) . You then glue / press a Deans socket into it. These are good for about 20A.
