Hi Guys, please can anyone help my mate out, he has bought a caravan and discovered that some bright spark has cut out the 4 pin connection to the trailer loom so they could fit a 7 pin instead of the standard 13 that the Sport is fitted with. He has the 6 pin intact but the 4 pin is gone, a photo of the 4pin connection block including the wires that go into it would be fantastic. Range Rover dealer has quoted, wait for it, £4500 for a new loom, the only thing that is missing is the 4 pin connection block.
Many thanks.

Please help

Any chance of going to a scrappy and whipping the end off ...

Get the connector and a length of loom and trace your way round what you have on your car .... please don't use Scotch Loks or I will hunt you down and beat you ...

Bullet connectors or solder and heatshrink are best ...

Why not just convert the 7pin to 13? Admittedly that is not pretty but if it works just run the extra wires for the caravan electrics only a couple of lives and an earth anyway and use a cheap ebay charge relay.

Not that simple on these cars, there is an ECU involved.
You can get 13 to 7 pin plug in adaptors and vice versa.

It already has a bypass relay fitted for trailer lights and the remaining caravan ones can be fed direct from battery using self activating charge relay. Remove 7 pin plug and fit 13 in its place.

Thanks for your help lads, he would like to have it wired the way it should be, can't say I blame him. It's a picture of the wiring would be a god send if anyone would be so kind.
Many thanks all.
