been thinking they look a bit tatty has anyone taken them off if so did they leave a mark etc or do you like them thoughts please:)

Removed decals on fleet vehicles many times by warming with a heat gun.....get the temp just right and all the glue comes off on the decal as well so little or no cleaning to do. If they've been on a long time the problem is the paint underneath the decal doesn't fade like the rest of the panel so you can always see where they have been. Some colours are worse than others as are different paints.

thanks for the response would the heat gun damage the paint work i was thinking of putting the rubber strips on the car i think that would cover any difference in paint colour what do you think ?

No it won't damage the paint, but note I said "warming". The trick is to warm the panel (keep moving and a sensible distance) not the decal until it feels hot to touch like on a sunny day then turn off the heat and peel.

T cut will minimise the paint difference and the rubbing strips should help.

thanks think i will go for it

actually even a good hair dryer will have enough heat if you are unsure about controlling the heat of a heat gun.:)

sounds good whats your opinion do you like the decals or would you get rid and would it affect the price on resale thanks

Well for me they're not important but you have to think about target market when reselling so it may affect resale value sightly

It came with the guards already on. If you get a template in the kit then they'll be easy to fit but if you buy second hand without the instructions/template then you'll need to take care in assessing the exact point to drill.

thanks got my eye on a new set on ebay

you could try a kettle of boiling water to soften the glue and then gently peel off the stickers
thanks might try that had a look at the rubbing strips and looks as if they would cover any problems does anyone know where i can get a genuine set cheap ?
