spill return hoses

hi all,
i want to remove my injector spill hoses to check their condition, is it safe to just go ahead and take them off ?
im worried it might cause some sort of air lock in the injector!?

Taking them off without the engine running shouldn't cause any harm .. other than they mostly harden and are likely to crack or split when you try to get them off. Make sure you have replacements first. Don't buy LR parts, last I looked they were about £20 a set ... I got a 3m length of identically marked tubing from a Motor Factors for a fiver ...

Well worth replacing as when they are split they do let air in when running. Difference on mine when I changed them was very noticeable
