Speedometer illumination

Can someone tell me the part number of the two bulbs fitted in the TD5 speedometer?
I’ve looked online and can only find LED replacements.
It’s a small blue twist-in holder with a bulb in it. I am not sure if it’s supplied complete, or if you can remove the bulb.
The bulb doesn’t want to come out of the little holder (l got it out of the recessed hole in the speedometer OK) even with pliers, any more pressure would shatter it.

I’ve done that, and got the holder out of the speedometer with the bulb in it.
But the bulb won’t come out of the holder and l don’t know if it’s jammed, or comes complete with the holder.

Mine just pulled out, I replaced them with LEDs.

This is the part in question. The bulb doesn’t seem to want to come out of the holder, should it come out?

Should just pul out.

It’s one of these by the look of it.

can you get in at the bottom with a small elec screwdriver and lever it out.

Yeah that looks like the ones in the back of my speedo too. I’m sure I just pulled them out. I can remember I had to modify the LEDs as they weren’t a direct replacement, but can’t remember doing anything special to the holder.

Just went back through some old references I had from the TD5 dash. It seems I may have modified the bulb holder too as @Retroanaconda website says “new bulb” indicating a whole new holder too?

Had a look on “Auto bulbs Direct” and it appears to be a 509T dashboard illumination bulb.
Comes in the holder.
There’s dozens of different types of holders and you have to select the bulb with the blue holder which is the Land Rover one.

I just fitted the LED kit new bulbs for the 3 clocks, only one not supplied is the clock itself .

Surprising how much brighter they are.

Sounds like a good idea, however mine are easily bright enough when they are all working.
