Hi all, the 03 TD4 has started to play up, 1st fault the three amego's however as well as that it has started to show a fault with the brake warning light on dash and then lose the speedo. switch off and back on and brake fault light goes away and speedo works. So any idea's chaps apart from the normally burn it.

The speedo works off one of the ABS sensors on the Td4, I think. Will look on Rave.

The instrument pack microprocessor operates the speedo with a CAN signal from the ABS ECU, dosen't say which wheel sensor sends it though.
If the microprocessor loses the CAN signal for more than 64ms it shuts the speedo off, and logs a fault code.

Problem solved, called in a couple of favours and got a free hook up, showed a fault on the off side rear wheel abs sensor. Now this is the embarrassing bit, had serviced it 2 months ago and took the entire pump and filter out of the wheel arch and disconnected the abs sensor snap connector for easier removal, so what did I find when I removed wheel and trim, I had not full re engaged the connector. So snapped it home wheel back on road test and bingo problem solved, it must have just been working loose over the last couple of months. Thanks for the advice.
