Speedo problem!

I recently bought a disco 300tdi auto and its ace, had the cam belt changed for peace of mind, and the rear shocks which needed doing, but problem I've got is the Speedo which dies then comes back to life, is this a common problem and is it an easy fix, or is it back to the garage?

Sorry cant help with the speedo prob but some one on here will know ,,but :welcome:anyway,
hope you get it sorted..
