Hi I need to correct the speedo reading to have my larger 235/85.16 tyres approved on my disco 1.
As standard the disco is prepped with 29" tyres the afore mentioned is 32".
I know you have to change the speedo drive gear to get an acurate reading. Does anyone know which colour or number of teath for the 32" tyres. The one in my disco gearbox lt77 is red 23 teath, and I have just changed gearbox to a disco r380 and in the newer one it had a black one 23 teath.
Which drive gear do I need to get for the speedo to read correctly with 32" tyres.
Thinking about this it would vary depending on wheel size diff ratio, transfer ratio, and gearbox....hmm this could be complicated to work out/guess....
