Speedo dont work

iv fitted a new cable still didnt work so i pulled it of the clock and left it stickin out of the side of the dash and drove down the road and the cable didnt turn so i susspect the faults at the gearbox is there any thing i can do about that thanks.

thats what mine is doing, i think it is being caused by play in box on mine,

yup
stick the cable core into the speedo drive gear proper. Thats assuming that it worked before yu replaced the cable.

well one day it started doin its own thing while drivin seen the plug was snapped on the back of my clock and was stayin in properly assumed it was that but wasnt
