i have a series 3 88" that i brought in a farm sale with no mot. it was running well untill one day, left for a few days without running, it wouldnt start. i sprayed WD40 on the spark plug ends, and dried out the inside of the distributor cap. i got it started but it was very rumbly, and even at full throttle it still grumbled and didnt go properly. if you floored the throttle it would just but out. someone suggested it wasnt firing properly which could be down to inneffective spark plugs. should i replace them? and if so does anyone no what the gap should be? thanks, oz.

ok, in that case does anyone know what the gap should be for spark plugs on a series 3?

0.8 mm i think
( dont quote me on that) the guy where you get em from will no though

even though mine were sparking i had to replace them and it fixed the problem apparently they wont work under compression but will out of the sockets :)
