Spade mountings

you want to "quick fist" & mount a "spade" through its "back door"

I am not sure thats legal - or at leasr PC :eek:

How about this idea - if you've got the materials knocking about that is??

Couple of busted/worse for wear ratchet straps - cut down to a short enough length - rivet these to the door, eh voila! You might also get away with the same thing with using Velcro strips or some other 'strappy' material.

The key is obviously having a thickness that can be riveted onto the carrier!

No probs. I'm just a tight arsed Welsh bloke that enjoys a good botch up using crap thats good for nowt and hasn't quite made it to the bin.
 
SPade mounting kit is just a bit of metal strip shaped like this ____I----I___ with a short strap riveted to it. and a bit like this for the blade of the spade ___--------------___

I'll see if I have pics of mine.
 
winchman - if you've got any meccano knocking around that mantec jobbie can be pretty easily knocked up, and with all the holes pre drilled - its lightweight n ready for service.
