Hi. I gotta replace the #4 injector on my P38 BMW diesel. (the one with the needle sensor). Any advice on where to get one please? Only really interested in new genuine parts for this, as I only want to do the job once. About £220 correct? I have been already advised to change the water hose at rear of block while inlet manifold is off. Ta, in advance.

Famous Four Land Rover. Up to WA409249 £139.00 + vat + carriage. WA409250 and up £145.00 + vat + carriage.

I got one from GSF (German Swedish French) for i think it was £85 (well it was definitly under the £90 mark) you need a special tool to put it in, basically its a cut away socket, so the wire wont twist and brake

You dont need to buy a landrover special tool.
What I did was buy a impact socket and I cut a window in it using a grinder.
Works perfectly.

I did suggest that

but they only cost about a £5, there are different sizes, make sure you get the correct size, or i can lend you mine and you pay the post, then send it back, but it will cost about the same if you buy it

Thanks for the replies. I didn`t get on well with the GSF site, but that`s prob down to my `putorin` skills.... or lack of.. Ordered bits (including 2 sets of inlet manifold gaskets) from Island 4x4. I`ve used `em before and seems easier to get all necessaries at same time. Delivery is a bit awkward here too, but all under control now. Ordered set of 6 Sykes-Pickavant spanners off net for £29. All I need I think plus some for the `just-in-case` section of my tool-box. Prob get an extra coupla mpg if I cleared that out, but..Next w-end booked then.

They are just down the road from me, so i usually ring them and pick up, only about 4 mile away, a good cheap source or BMW engine parts
