Going back to when I bought a classic off of Noah, I stripped out the carpet (easy) and bought sheet lead from the hardware store, covered the floor and gearbox tunnel in that and re-fitted the carpet. Put good quality sound deadening mat on the underside of the bonnet as well.

I covered bulkhead in pads when I removed dash to do some welding. This actually made a huge difference. Also stick pads (I used silent coat) to foot wells, door skins, tunnel, well everywhere you can get it!!!
Overlay the lot with closed cell foam. I haven’t done the seat box in silent coat, just foam as I ran out and was impatient.
Do the same to the roof.
I did notice a big change once I’d done bulkhead though
I also used the leftover odd bits to do underside of bonnet.
Go around checking for holes and stick grommets or dum dum in gaps.
it will always be noisy but I use mine on long trips and with upgraded speakers and the above it’s not too bad.
